OCCUPIED JERUSALEM — Jewish settlers rooted out 300 olive trees in the
Palestinian West Bank village of Muhmus in one night, a Hebrew daily
reported on Thursday.

Ha’aretz said that the attack was carried out in the course of the past week.

Palestinian sources, who witnessed the attack, said that the crime was the third of its kind within the past two years.

Owners of the cultivated land repeatedly complained to the Israeli
occupation forces but to no avail, the sources said, noting that some
of the recently planted saplings were among those uprooted.
